Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to allow us to introduce ourselves.  We are Dan and Amy, a fun, loving, Catholic couple, excited to be parents.  We have tried for several years to start a family but have experienced infertility.  We now know that being adoptive parents is the path God has chosen for us and we are very excited for the opportunity.  We have strong family ties and traditional values which we would be honored to share with your child.  We can't wait to hear the sound of children laughing, playing and running through the house.

About Us
We are both 38 years old and have been happily married for over 13 years and have truly been a part of each other's families for over twenty.  We met in high school where we became best friends and fell in love.  It was because of our strong friendship, love, and mutual respect for each other that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.

We love going to hockey games and taking strolls in the park.  We especially look forward to spending time catching up at dinner.  Rarely does a day go by that we don't share dinner-time together.  We very much enjoy sharing the day's events with each other and getting caught up.  We enjoy traveling to warm and exciting places where we can explore sites we've never seen before.

We love spending time with family and friends celebrating birthdays, the tradition of holidays, or simply getting together over the weekend for a backyard bar-b-que.  We always look forward to spending the holidays with our families which are always filled with our nieces and nephews laughing and the adults reminiscing.

Our Faith
We are practicing Catholics who are very active in our church and consider our parish to be our extended family.  We attend mass weekly.  Amy volunteers on the finance committee and we both help with the annual festival.  We plan to raise our children to appreciate and become involved in the Catholic church as we are.  We want to offer our children the same roots in faith that we were brought up with.

Our Family and Friends
We were both raised in very close knit Catholic families where we value birthday and holiday celebrations, or just getting together for the weekend as priceless moments.  Our parents have always supported us in our life journey - they are truly our best friends.  Amy has one brother and 2 sisters, one of whom is her twin!  Dan has a brother and sister.  We are close with our siblings and talk regularly.  We are extremely fortunate to have a strong support group in our family and friends.  They couldn't be more supportive our journey to become parents and can't wait to welcome another child into the family.

Our Home
We live in central Ohio in a large 3 bedroom, 2 story house in a newer subdivision with parks and schools within walking distance.  We live on a corner lot with a nice yard, plenty of trees and room to play.  Our backyard and patio are our favorite places to spend time.  We love to watch the birds play in the fountain and the squirrels chasing each other.

Our neighborhood has many young families with younger children who are often taking walks down the sidewalks or playing in their yards.  We truly love where we live and know our children will have many opportunities to make neighborhood friends and grow up happy.
